Hi foggers Please be advised that on Sunday 11th October we will doing a Workday at the site... We will meet at 10am at Notcutts garden centre just off j7 m20 (head towards maidstone from j7 and its immediately on your left...) Please bring with you any tools that you have that may be useful for clearing trees, digging and lunch/drinks as nowhere very near to get grub when you have worked up an appetite. Dont worry if you cant bring your fronty, we find somewhere to park the lesser cars if not 4x4's so you can still join in if you want to. Probably not a good idea to bring dogs to the work days, I am just concerned about them running around with chainsaws going and 4x4's moving around, and children must be kept on a tight leash and near parents at all times as we dont want any accidents. Workdays will be capped at 5 members + me, and we will be grafting as a team to get work done...this will involve some delegation of tasks within the team to ensure we are both productive and safe... Please note this is NOT a playday, and although some 4x4 driving/working will probably be involved during the day, we are there to work to get the site ready for the next picnic... Please add your name to the list if you are coming to help with this, and thanks for your support guys... See you soon Gregster

Looking good for Sunday.... The rain and mud I ordered has come Matts coming again to lend a hand, probably with his 90 Got room for 1 or 2 more if anyone else wants to come on sunday for a days grafting in the woods and mud... Need the workers to bring digging gear (shovels, picks etc) as well as the pruning gear, if you have got any, as we may need to dig some tramline ruts into the side slopey bits down the far end of the site to try and restrict cars sliding sideways... Welly's or boots and wet weather gear will be the order of the day too...(no shorts this time kel!!) Look forwards to seeing you all again...will be fun the list so far... Gregster... Retro pedro... Wilberforce... Krusher... Matt...

Hiya foggers.... Thanks for you support, but we now have the numbers for the workday team this time... Please if you wish to come to a workday, put you name down for the next one... Its still pooring hard here...and is forcast to rain 2moz as well...the weather is due to clear a bit at the weekend, so will be wet-underfoot/tyre, but hopefully not to wet on us! Wet weather gear is recommended, as are decent grippy boots, digging gear will be handy if you can bring spades/picks with you as we will need to mod some of the side slopes down the far end of the bottom of the site with ruts to tyres a hold... Gibbo if you can bring your chainsaw again that will be right handy... We will be working as one group this time, I dont want anyone slipping over on their own with a chainsaw... We will get to make some new trails too as a team, I am thinking possibly Matt and I felling up front with chainsaws, 2 behind pruning the smaller stuff, 1 dragging big stuff down the hill and one logging up on the flat at the bottom... This will be a safe and efficient way of doing this, we can rotate jobs, but from a safety point of view felling should be left to matt and I as we will all be fairly close together... we can rotate jobs with less serious cutting, but these are not ideal conditions for someone having a go with a chainsaw who is not experienced with them... I dont mean to sound like a boring ole fart....I want us to get loads done, have a laugh, exercise our motors in the mud and go home with all our limbs ready to come back at the next picnic to show off our accomplishments to the other members!!! With a bit of luck the landowner is bringing a machine up to do some holes for a few hours, weather permitting...I will speak to him again before sunday and confirm... This time I suggest we all meet at the woods in the clearing at the bottom at 10 o'clock...that way we can get a bit earlier start as the evenings are drawing in, and if anyone is running late, it wont hold up progress too much... Can anyone running late please call or txt me, you all have my mob no, with an approximate eta so we can keep an eye out for you as we may be deep in the woods. Thanks again for all your support...and look forwards to seeing you all on sunday Gregster

Wotcha workers.... Few things to take note of for 2moz...Firstly Krusher is unable to join us 2moz, pm'ed me a little while ago so everyone is gonna have a work a bit harder!!!! Remember we are meeting in the clearing at the bottom of the woods at 10am NOT at Notcutts... Bring wet weather gear as more rain is forcast.... Bring tow strops and digging gear if you have it....also pruning stuff will be handy.... It is slippy in the woods, so sensible boots, welly's are essential... Bring sarnies&drinks as nowhere near to get grub... Be very careful with your cars in the woods....it is totally different in there now its muddy and wet....what was easy before, is not neccesarily now....I dont want anyone wrecking their car, so if you find you are sliding towards a tree, then stop, and we will strop it so it doesnt hit... no heriocs guys, we have got a fair amount to do and I dont want us to loose half a day repairing cars for the journey home or your cars getting wrecked... By the end of the day the site should be more suited to the wet conditions, ensuring the next picnic is safer for everyone participating... Sally is coming to show us all up on the grafting stakes....be warned she's a slave driver and she takes no prisoners if anyone's slacking!! See you all at 10am 2moz....and thanks for your support guys.... Laters Greg n Sal...
