Re: My first competative event

Well, only 1 sleep left before I leave for my first competitive event.

Not much done to the Sport, other than a fluid check today and a bit of insulation tape around an exposed positive connector on the battery (don't want it to short out in a roll, or some scrowt jumping on the bonnet). Cleared all the rubbish out, so things don't rattle around.

Just need to remove the waffle board mounts in the morning (forgot to do them today)

I rang the organisers in the week to confirm my attendance, and had a bit of a chat. This event is a RTV and TYRO - which means the the minimum age of a competitor is 13 (if accompanied by an adult) - I do so hope I'm not beaten by a 13 year old.

Bravo to Weave and damrabbit for agreeing to pop along and support me - I hope they take lots of photos and don't laugh too much.

Catch you all Sunday evening, all going well.

Cheers
Lawrence

What an absolutely cracking day out that was.

I am also really appreciative of the support from Weave67 and Damrabbit - it was good to have some cheering on of the Frontera amongst so many green ovals and the couple of Cherokees - cheers guys.

I'll do a bit of a write up, but I've just realised I'm flaked - here's some piccies (thanks in part to Mr Rabbit), and I'll look at the vid tomorrow:
