I'm a Farmer and it cost us everything we had to buy this place but people from the town think that they can just wander about on my land and pick mushrooms and at christmas feel they have the right to cut holly and sell it. I don't mind if they ask and don't hack the tree to bits, but when I say "Oi that's mine" they get really shirty. If I was to pick just one flower from their garden they would go ape. Just remember, the countryside is someone's livelihood and little lanes are still there 'cos he needs to check his sheep etc. and is not going to be a happy chappy if it is suddenly turned into a tank training course.

Right then, list of kit and provisions:

Packed lunch and snacks.
Plenty to drink, Flasks of hot water or camping gaz stove type things for tea and coffee or bottled beverages if you prefer.
Towrope (just in case) but not strictly necessary as the group leaders will have some.
Wet weather gear, again just in case.
Hiking type boots if possible, trainers will do but we cant guarantee the weather.
Meet @ 9.30am - Unsure of finish time but allow 6 to 8 hours.
Oh yeah... Spare socks, yet again, just in case ;-)

Anyone else think of anything?
