Holymoorside 2009 Rainbows Charity Event

Postby brachunky on Tue Apr 07, 2009 9:58 pm

Hi Foggers
Myself and a few others on here are also members of a non brand specific off road club called Northern Monkeys. As we have a good number of mates here on FOG, its only right to extend an invitation to you all to a weekend charity gathering at Holymoorside :D
Many of you have already "tasted" the special flavour of Holymoorside mud last year and expressed an interest in doing it again  This is how it works:
We have the full use of the site from Friday 26 June until Sunday 28 June. Everyone is welcome to camp over the whole weekend if you wish or just attend on one day or Saturday & Sunday if you prefer.
Some people will be bringing a caravan & others tents-your choice! Anyway you look at it, you can play until you drop
The "plan" is that on Saturday, you can muck around on the site or explore the local greenlanes if you so desire and on the Sunday, a trial event for first timers will be held :D This will be a fun non damaging event! I have'nt done anything like this before but looking forward to it!
In addition,Im sure a few of us will try out a bit of night mud plugging for a laff

Although we will hire a portaloo, there are no other facilities available so its essential that you bring with you anything you need including fresh water, food and liquid refreshments  We will be arranging bbq's which Im sure will be on the go Friday & Saturdee nights!!
There is a local pub about a mile from the site.

The event is aid of Rainbows Hospice in Loughborough who do an enormous amount of good for children with life threatening & terminal conditions.
All its going to cost you is £20!! Its your choice whether you camp or just play on the day(s)-still £20
If you would like to join the fun, it would be appreciated if you could send the £20 thru electronically although payments on the day will be accepted. http://www.4x4marketplace.com/auction_details.php?name=Hollymoorside-canding-Weekend&auction_id=100226

Final list:
1)Fuddy -confirmed full weekend
2)Frontycustoms-confirmed full weekend
3)FrontyDan-confirmed Satdee & Sunday
4)4x4 Bobby-confirmed full weekend
5)Truckosaurus-confirmed all weekend

6)Alchemist-confirmed
7)Tom-confirmed all weekend
8)Sir Doris
9)Alex-prov all weekend
10)Big Red Fronty-(prov)
11)Dave_Raynet-(prov)
12)DJHill1987-(Sunday)

OK chaps,We have had to put a cap on the amount of vehicles so the foggers highlighted in red who have confirmed are in.Those who have been unable to confirm will be placed on the reserve list if you still wish to join.
Its not that we are being unfair but the site is not big and we already have 27 confirmed 4x4's!!

I have removed John M & myself as our names are already on the Northern Monkey list
