Today I removed the EGR's and flappy paddles from the 2.8 . Unfortunatley the 2 bolts holding the exhaust return pipe to the exhaust manifold snapped. Have left the stumps to soak in wd40 for a few days before I scratch me head on removal.

Well actually it was yesterday but didn't get chance to post but yesterday (Saturday) me and andysd1 fitted new wheels with powerguard marshall AT tyres all round then set to work wiring in my roof lights which after some slight problem solving now all work andy has the phot's and video which i hope he will post soon??

I ignored all Drifts advice and sprayed a whole can of Wynns Carb cleaner through the intake manifold via the PCV hose and it billowed out some sooty, greyish smoke for the first 3/4's of a can then cleared up.

Definitely not as much as Alex's 2.8 when Drift did his but it is noticeably quieter now, took it for a quick test drive and it seems to have smoothed out the engine somewhat.

Definitely worth it.

Yes, but make sure you use half a tin and specially make sure you spray it in AFTER the turbo

Dont spray it into the pipe leading to the turbo, but spray in the pipe after the turbo that leads into the air intake on the engine, its so the carb cleaner doesnt dry out your turbo bearings.

Hey dwifty...my surf has the turbo off a iveco 75E17 on it and just a 2.5ft bit of 4" bore tube with no silencing (other than the turbo!)....sounds mad!!!

Love it....(but uses tons of diesel now with the injector pump wound up to the max...but goes really well!!

A 3" straight through pipe on a 2.8 with the fuel pump tweaked and bigger intercooler and a couple more psi out of the turbo, would go like stink, for and old lump

Repacked & adjusted front wheel bearings,serviced brake calipers & fitted new pads.

Washed all the soapy stuff of the chevy's tyres from changing them yesterday...
...measured up the bumper to see if swb fronty A corners will fit so I can keep the chrome centre section when it gets sport wings,
and cleaned all the bird sh1t of sals purple glitterball! (will shoot the little git when I see the culprit...seems to be making a habit of using the n/s mirror as a dunny perch!!)
