Attaching photos

Postby Retro Pedro on Mon Mar 09, 2009 11:06 pm

I'm sure there must be advice somewhere how to do the basic photo adding, but please can somebody give me a step by step guide.
Just had a go without success.
What I did was:
Opened my Photobucket account.
Uploaded my pictures from my PC onto the Photobucket site.
Set the image size to 480x640 for the initial upload.
Then went to add attachment when posting a reply.
Images found in browse OK but when I went to attach them a message came up saying they are to big. Maximum size allowd 256 there abouts.
Went back to resize the images in Photobucket to small size and still they are to big when I try to attach.
Is there something glaringly obvious that I'm doing wrong.
Many thanks for any advice.

In photo bucket hover your curser over the img tag then paste it into your message.

Ya, that's the result of me resizing them down to 'small' when I was trying to originally 'attach' them.
What size is the norm for adding them in the successful 'copy and paste' method - Large, medium etc.
I'm I right thinking that when uploaded from the PC to still go for the 480x640 size?

Select that size to save them in photo bucket, then they will appear here that size.

when uploading them to photobucket, click on "website size" and they will go to this forum when required.
