Allthough not a prev Frontera Owner in the last couple of years I have owned 2 x Carlton 2.0 Diplomats, 2 x Carlton 2.6 Diplomats and 2 x Senators, so not new to the VX Scene. When the fuel prices went through the roof I stupidly sold my lovely Carlton as I though fuel cost would become an issue. Anyway at the time I don what I normally do and looked for a bargin basement replacemnt from ebay.................I bought a (get your Crusifixes out) a Ford Maverick SWB 2.4 with 12 months Mot for £300. Unfortuntly my wife drove it then, nicked it and I ended up with her car. Well I have sold her car and now as I cant have my Maverick back I have decided to get another 4x4, but not wanting to have 2 of the same I thought I'd go for a VX instead. Pref a 2.4 LWB.
Anyway one of the Fronty's i have been looking at, the buys states that the Engine Management Light is on, but when their mechanic put it on a diagnostics, they were told it just needed a service. Does this sound plausable or shall I steer clear?
Anyway, hope to own one soon
