Not much on the pda as you will save the maps ( bigger files ) to the memory card as they wont fit on the pda

Get the biggest the pda (or ya wallet) allows. That way there is always room for expansion

Just got me a Dell Axim X51 with a gps receiver for Christmas, so now I just need a standard SD (not SDHC) card for it and a copy of the software. Anyone know where I can get either from? It supports up to 4GB if I can get one (ebay is full of SDHC but nobody seems to have standard SD)

Do the overlays on the PC, then with the pda connected and switched on, on the the MM Pull Down Menu, select Mobile Device and Export Data to Device.
I also drink Port and I'm not ashamed to say it!

I'm all ears when you get it sorted Ian - I picked up both region 2 and region 6 - 2004 edition memory maps secondhand from fleabay.
Didn't give it thought that it might not be transferable from original purchaser, but have to wait and see if I can register them in my name.
Fella gave me a 'free trial' disc that apparently can be used as a free upgrade disc.
I've got both a Navman F10 and TomTom One sat navs so wondering if I can get the memory maps onto my PC, then transfer via an SD card onto either of the sat navs to use in the truck.
I've got first offers on an old Compaq laptop from work, to use as a slave display screen in the truck if I can get connectivty from the sat nav to the laptop.
Seen Trev's set up whereby he uses a PDC gizmo with GPS then uses laptop for larger display.
Think this is going to be wait and see if the practice = the theory.
