Re: Well Hello there.Wrap small cable ties around the rubbers of the sparkplugs and leads to prevent water ingress and around the rubber boots of the leads at the dizzy and coil.
Also spray the electrics (plugs,leads connectors etc) with silicone spray (not wd40) as this repels water. Air intake is in the drivers side front wheel arch, for the inexperienced driver safe fording of up to 18" is possible in a standard frontera. If you have some experience with fording and creating a decent bow wave then 24" to 36" is possible if you have a lift and bigger tires but you are now in danger of drowning the car and flooding the engine, and dont forget that if it cuts out at this depth then you and the inside of the car will be soaked and you will probably have to be towed home.[/quote] Thanks for this, every little helps. ![]()
