Having never been to pay n play I'm not sure what to expect, would it be possible to do some of it in a standard fronty? If we are to try and exceed the volume of them GWRA, members with the standard fronty's might be discouraged from attending if they think they cannot take part.

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming...'Wow! What a ride!

most sites have to cater for standard vheicles but even standard frontys are good and there would be plenty of modified trucks there for people to hitch a ride in for the difficult bits :D

I can understand your worries about pay 'n' play sites with a standard fronty but having been to pay 'n' play sites in my wifes old standard fronty with bearly legal road tyres fitted, (Thats how i caught the bug for offroading in the first place), and then later on in my modded sport, i can asure you that most if not all pay 'n' play sites have a full range of obstacles for the standard 4x4's through to the highly modified 4x4's. And you will be pleasantly surprised at just how capable a standard fronty is too.
The only problem is that for a lot of first timers it may well be a costly experience because 9 out of 10 offroad virgins will probably write a shopping list of mods before the weekend is out.

Plus like AndySD1 stated earlier he is more than willing to let anyone have a go in his truck, i would also be more than happy to let anyone have a go in mine if they don't fancy trying there own truck out.

Hope this helps to put anyones mind at ease who is worried about offroading in a standard frontera, long or short wheelbase.
Cheers
Dan

The ameneties at Kirton make it sound rather appealing.... plus the added bonus of approx. £60 quid for a weekend and two days paying and playing sounds good when you think that normally sites charge an average of £35 per day from 10AM - 4 PM.
I just looked and the 4th May 2009 is a bank holiday, i know its a long way off and i would perfer to do something a lot sooner than that but at least that would remove the excuse of "too short notice to be able to afford it".

P.S i'm sorry if the posting goes down hill but i am stuck in Ireland with nothing to do but post and :drink: :drink: :drink: lots of the black stuff..... i just had to read this post 3 times and i think it makes sense, well it does to me anyways.
Cheers
