Thanks Carl
Yes pic23 is part of the Wayfarer. It crosses a peat bog at this point.
Railway sleepers have been used to create a safe driving surface.
Unfortunatly, this section had sunk and both Lawrence and I were guided over the two sleepers you can see in the picture, by Sandy
Apparently vehicles that have left the path in this section have been swallowed by the peat bog, never to be seen again

Yes
There is a peat bog that can apparently swallow a Landrover whole. The railway sleepers effectively float on the bog allowing you to pass.
It appears that part of the bog underneath the sleepers has either sunk or washed away and their is (according to GLASS sources) a knee deep hole beneath (he mistakingly stood on a floating sleeper and it sank) - therefore those two sleepers act as bridging ladders for the time being.
I've brought it to GLASS's attention and a repair ideal is being investigated.

Unfortunately I can't view the video
It seems that zippy has disappeared...
Got it anywhere else? Or can you email it to me?
Love the pics. Looks like fun, perhaps I'll have to venture over that way for a day or two next year.

Not sure why I can't load it up.. it just keeps saying that Zippy isn't there at all, and that's with Firefox or with an IE tab in Firefox.
I might have to try it with IE completely.. :uggh:
Be happy to come out and play next year when I have a little more money and I'm not feeling so damned poor!!
We might have to arrange a little trip with a few others.
Maybe even a camping trip and all to go with it??

Well, since the recce did what was intended (check out some new lanes), we (Sandy and I) took the North Warwickshire GLASS group out to north Wales for the day on the 26th November.
There was Sandy's Landrover 90, another 90, a Disco, a Suzuki and an Isuzu Bighorn.
Only the three snorkeled green ovals did the river crossing, but all the vehicles did the rest of the route, without damage and a lot of fun was had by all.
