Certainly was a bargain and I am extremely happy, the reason for the price was that the fan belt tensioner had gone and was making a lot of noise (at the time I did not realise how rediculous the Vauxhall price was) but I sourced a good one from a Jeep for £35 and its a direct replacement so again another bargain !!

BTW, the reason for the user name is in the picture below, this is my weekend toy and part of the reason for buying a Frontera, so I can trailor it away when it breaks!!

Hello Richard (there is something nicer about "hello" than "hi" do you not think?). No, - oh well "hi" then. Sounds like you picked up a bargain there. Give those brake pipes a good Waxoyle or spray from front to back (just one of my pet 'fads')

HELLO all!!

I too am heavily debating about a 2.5 D transglobe....... after some heavy research the reviews seem quite evenily split, for and against, seen one in good nick, 1998 2.5 transglobe TDS for £2000, little on the steep side i reckon and a 1998 2.5 TDS for £1495. Opinions please guys... how have you boys got on with yours?

2.5 diesels sound like a good engine to go for...., what differences does the transglobe model have? Cant seem to find any info on that
