It's been brought to my attention that a few members are suffering from a little known condition called ...... FARLEY SYNDROME. I've been asked a few times when the next trip to Farley is going to be organsied. And as we have'nt been there since April I think it now time to visit one of our favourite Pay & Play sites Again. As we have the GWR in September and Holymoorside in October, I think November is a realisitic Date. So here goes ........... VENUE : FARLEY QUARRY, MUCH WENLOCK, TELFORD.
DATE : 16th NOVEMBER 2008 (STILL TO BE CONFIRMED)
TIME : 10am Start - 4pm FINISH
COST : £35.00It's a great day out for beginners to experienced, usually a good turn out of 10+ trucks, a great days banter and socialising, then off to our usual pub, The Spread Eagle to wind down and review the days events. Even if your a beginner, running on standard set up, there is plenty for you to attempt, always expert advice on hand, and should the worst happpen and you get stuck, there is always someone to give you a tug !!! I'll start the list off ......... FUDDY MUCKER 4x4 Bobby John Boy (Ned Flanders)

Just a quick update.
I've been onto there website this morning and it was updated yesterday.
It did state "NO EVENTS AUGUST & SEPTEMBER"
Now updated site states ......
"NO EVENTS SEPTEMBER & OCTOBER"
I've tried to contact the organisers by both phone numbers, but both go to answer machine, and also there Email contact link on there website is no longer on there.
So there may be some truth in the rumours after all. And for those that went last time in April, you will remember there had been quite a bit of excavation work going on in the quarry, which would point to the fact that it may now be, or in the process of been used again as a Working Quarry.
I think at the moment, I will lock this topic until confirmation can be sorted.
If Farley Quarry has closed, then for those who have put there name down, I will organise another day out around the same time, maybe a days greenlaning.
So keep checking the Midlands section over the next few weeks.
