Hi rob How the h*ll did you get it stuck
slid down a slope and went over a boulder since then i hav'nt been able to put it back into 2wd, wonder if i've got summat stuck in the diff???? ![]()
I've read on here of something similar, but cam't for the life of me find it.
Have you tried forward and reversing a few times, possibly on grass? It might be worth taking the gearlever gaitor off and having a looksee. The post I was trying to find, mentioned openng up the transfer case and manually disengauging it - something was worn and needed replacing. I don't think it is your diff(s) - most likely the transfer box selector. Lawrence
i had a prob like that and it was almost like the gears in the box hadnt lined up for me to move the lever back to 2wd. i just did a couple of hard left/rite turnes off road and tryed again and went strait back. have no idea why and mine seems to have been a 1 off so prob not going to help with yours. like lawrence has said i think its a full strip of the transfer box that is needed. ![]() 2L SWB 2" lift 31/10.5/15 MT's 12000lbs Winch
I'm an idiot i took the gear gaitor off and found out the boulder was not the problem of it sticking i found my missing clipper lighter jammed up in the gap that was stopping it from releasing so i pulled the lighter out and hey presto it slipped right back into 2wd with no problems, the only damage the boulder did was my drivers side step and part of my exhaust is dented, here's me thinking i'd knackered my fronty
