I would like to introduce myself and pick your knowledgable brains.
I,m Ian and have had my truck for 3yrs and have systematically gone over it replacing parts to bring it up to scratch, and apart from reshaping the front wing and drivers door during an interesting coming together with a Unimog in a very narrow country lane she has been a very faithful servant , regularly hauling logs for the Rayburn from very inacessible places that are knee deep in mud.
However, i have just had a gearbox input shaft main bearing give up and the replacement box from a scrapyard (Which shall remain nameless)is whining on 1st and 2nd gear and rumbling on 3rd.
Any ideas on a temporary fix? or has anybody got a 93 sport box?
Seperately from that , i have a 2.4 gearbox sat on the floor of the garage supplied wrongly from a breakers that i want shut of and am open to offers or a swap for the 93 sport box.
