I was thinking we could do with some tee shirts to wear on the day, and also to help raise some extra funds. I have a an idea for a design, but my artistic expertise lies in using existing images to make new ones and the images I need don't exist currently.

I can put together a rough mock up that would be need to be refined to a finished article if someone fancies taking the job on? I would ask you bobbinsjob as I know you have the required talent, but I realise you are already very heavily involved in other aspects of the organising and I don't want to take the proverbial :?

Vistaprint currently charge £3.68 for 1 shirt. I would imagine we would get a discount for a few hundred, and if we mention it's for charity we might get even more off...

If no luck with Vistaprint or whoever, can I suggest you contact Lee at Custom Vinyl. Heavily into the off-road scene he has personally helped me out for the Landy Rally European Charity Drive both with t-shirts, plus vinyl lettering and graphics for the teams at good prices. Besides being professional and helpful, he's a really nice bloke and in my book that's counts for a hellava lot!

Their website is http://www.customvinyl.co.uk By all means say reccommendation was via Tom McGuigan, you never know, you may get even a better discount! Nothing to lose and everything to gain after all? Good hunting.

:D

Sometimes I am so nice despite people thinking of me as evil.So what's this all about.

Well the company I work for has a hefty buying power and all companies vie for business.I recently mailed one of my suppliers in relation to the event saying that on the Saturday before the event you were having a bash & BBQ at Billing camp-site.

So today in my in box received this reply

Charity Event.‏

Sent: 12 May 2008 11:03:28

Hi Andi,

I am sure we will be able to donate something to this event. I will get this passed by my boss, but I dont see it being a problem.

I'll keep you posted.

Regards

Joanne Glendinning
Area Sales Manager

So if all goes well we should get some burgers and buns for the BBQ!!!!
Now I have this I will contact my rep for 3663 to see what they can do.If all comes off then will need the assistance of a couple of Foggers to get the stuff delivered to you.Anybody got a big freezer :?: :?:
till next time foggers

Hi All, Is this GWR attempt open to The members of the Muddy Frontera's site and also to the members of Frontera Owners.org.uk, as I see it, the more the merrier. ATB. Reeco

This event is open to all Frontera owners.

There are a number of FOG members that are also members of the other sites and word is getting around to those willing to support this event.

It makes sense to keep all the organisation in one place though.

Hi Trugga, I totally agree Mate, it makes a lot of sense to keep the organisation based on here and I think if the Muddy lot and The Frontera Owners lot attend we could get good no's and the more Fronty owners we have the more money we make for charity. ATB. Reeco

OK, nuvver random idea. If we could get together say 5 or 10 suitably impressive prizes for a raffle (with the help of some of the corporate sponsors perhaps), would it be worth seeing if we can set up a stand inside the entrance to the track to sell tickets and take donations?

Can I just make it clear, The FOG Guinness World Record Attempt is open to all registerred, active members of www.fronteraowners.co.uk . Even when we get the emergency service vehicles, they will have to be a registered user as will any friends you have with fronties that wish to join us.

Sorry if this sounds a little stern and unfair but afterall, It started as a FOG event and should stay a FOG event. Most of the members of Muddys and .Org are members on here aswell so numbers will stay relatively the same.

I am hoping to get some sort of commemerative sticker made up for the event with the FOG logo on and I cant see the members of the other groups happily adorning their trucks with them. As nor would i have any other club logo on my truck. Fogger and proud

i disagree, this will be a fog event no matter who turns up as fog has organised it, so the more fronteras the better where ever they come from or from different forums, the idea is to set a world record and raise money for charity, the title says world record, world being the word open to all fronteras

plenty car clubs going for the record this year

mitusbishi lancer register has 225 down so far for turning up to their record attempt

and i'm sure i seen somewhere that a few subaru clubs are joining up this summer to try and beat the record also.

with so many clubs doing it this summer i wonder which club will get in the record books.

if i were you guys i'd let all frontera clubs enter this event so you have even more of a chance to beat the record attempts made this summer

There is no actual target as its not been done before so theoretically two Fronteras could break the record

But we want FOG members to make a bigger turn out making any other attempt unachievable 8)
