Ok, so I've done some daft things in my time.. this is probably one of them! I've been looking for some time to buy my own car for green-laning, and off roading and finally being fed up with not being able to afford what I was looking at, I've paid £800 for a Feb 1998 2.0l Sport Niagara... Seems in good nick underneath, coil sprung at the rear but other than that, I know nothing about Fronty's at all, so I guess I'll be here often. I drove it 130 miles home with no real mishaps, although there was the occasional worrying whiff of petrol! Hopefully there's just a leaky fuel line somewhere. It's only done 80k miles, and the only other thing I've found wrong so far is that the heater fan doesn't work... Home is Mytholmroyd, near Halifax Hello to everyone Pete
That didn't sound good!

I had same issue on a 2.2 petrol. Smell now and then then pipes went in a big way. Could be worth droping tank, cleaning, fiting new tank straps and also checking tank pan as mine was rusted fully out. Only outer edge and dirt holding it in. Malc.

Welcome and Hello. Somebody with a good taste in football teams. As for your location,,, know it well.Wife's from Hebden Bridge and I lived there for 6 years. Don't know if it's any use but Coates Garage near the arches just outside Hebden was a good garage. Is it still going?? Murts used to be another good one on the way to Todd!

Thanks all for the warm welcome and good advice. As requested, here's a couple of pics from my first outing at Wormhough near Leek. And yes, I let her drive.. she did pay for half of it! And we did get it dirtier than in the pics! Pete
