A note on what to bring with you...

You don't need to go the the expense of buying recovery equipment, as each group leader, through experience, will be carrying the appropriate equipment.

I would reccomend you carry suitable spares that you think your vehicle might require and the tools to fit them. Perhaps a few liters of water, engine oil, brake fluid, WD40, rags etc.

You'll also need your camping gear, wash kit, loo kit, eating kit, and food/snacks/drink for the day out.

I would suggest though, that your familiarise yourself with your vehicles 4x4 mechanism and know where your recovery points are. The lanes will be driving have been driven many times by some of us and we have rarely had any problems.

:( soz Andy :(

Good words from Lawrence , we will have the kit should it be needed, but if you do get the gear it will hold you in good stead for the future, it isnt often on a lane that recovery is needed, but you never know, we have all found that out over time, but we will be trying to avoid any lanes that can cause serious problems in the interest of sustainability.

Most of all its a laugh and enjoy 8)

I just remembered, would anyone have an SWR meter they can bring with them so I can tune my CB properly at the campsite please.
I also drink Port and I'm not ashamed to say it!

I hope to get there mid afternoon.

If anyone gets there before me, aim for the circled area of the campsite, as this is near the wall and will give some shelter if the weather is bad, its also no to far from the Loo and showers

you can just make out an L shape coming off the track, so if you took a short cut across the grass in the dark you would find it, and get a shock
