Hi Ian,
Sounds like it's coming together. The date is fine with us.
If there is anything we can do let us know.
With regards to sponsorship let me know an exact date and I will see if I can muster anything up.
Cheers,
Huw.

Dont wanna be a pain but is there any chance of a summary of whats happened so far just to pull all the relevant threads/posts together?
Just an example but....
GWR attempt in memory of turbo (link to thread/posts).
Location: Rockingham Raceway (link)
Date: Sept 08 (date to be finalised)
Entrance fee: £10 per truck(?)(link on how/who to pay)
Whats on: Autojumble, pay and play (fee to be arranged), GWR attempt(!), song around camp fire
etc..
It could then be locked or usergrouped(?) so that only the organisers/admin can edit/update it, leaving the other threads open for suggestions and views.
I know I'm relatively new here but I have picked up the bug pretty quickly and really wanna be a part of this and see it succeed.
If you're sat there thinking things just can't get any worse, just wait......

Posted the following in the thread for Bofa 4x4 Rally (EVENTS) on Wednesday, but upon reflection in case it gets overlooked I have repeated it here:-
BTW, I was the guy who organised the record attempt weekend in 2004 for the GWR Largest Parade of Land Rovers. And yes we did establish a new world record - 260. Incidentally, one of your merry band helped out as a Marshal that day ... Trugga!
If I can assist or advise re. logistics or importantly 'how to actually set the record', then by all means contact me via phone or email. Contact details via http://www.4x4-market.co.uk I may be into Range Rovers and the like, but glad to help fellow 4x4 enthusiasts.

As of yet, I've hit a brick wall with the use of Rockingham as there is an insurance argument going on at the moment about a crash last year. I am assured that tyings will be sorted soon and will keep everyone updated as and when i get some more info

Hi All, Ian you have probably suggested this but none of us are going to break the land speed record lol, so can we all agree to sign a disclaimer before we go onto the circuit, ATB. Reeco

It's nothing to do with speed, it's just that I managed to get free use of the track through my bro-in-law who organises rally stages at rockingham. but unfortunately there was a crash at the last stage meeting which caused some damage to the track barriers and such and the MSA and rockingham are at loggerheads as to who is resposible for the bill. I'm sure it will be sorted soon though
