My fiirst Frontera (looking for your expert advice).Hi to all site members. My name is bill and I have just got my first ever Frontera (2.0 Sport 1996) 36000 genuine miles in a lovely pearl yellow colour!
Never owned a 4x4 before or done any off road work. I welcome any sensible advise or help. Got a couple of questions for ye all! I believe it would be a good idea to get the timing belt changed, shes been stood for a long time. I am paranoid it is going to snap, but I have heard a few comments that if it did, it would not cause engine damage! Is that true, and if so why not? look forward to your answers cheers all Bill.............

Re: My fiirst Frontera (looking for your expert advice).Hello Bill,
Welcome to FOG. I think the engine you are referring to is the diesel engine that has a 'built in timing chain', not a rubber belt. Huw, Owner of 'Maisey Daisey' aka Frontera LWB 2.2DTLi! Model year 2000.
