there is a other road from stonehaven to the a96 near inverurie which cuts off aberdeen, missing the traffic but only saves you time at rush hours!

sorry stuart, only just caught this now. Would've been working anyway with no chance of being able to sneak away for a bit :(

That road you were on about is the Stonehaven => Netherly road, takes you onto the South Deeside road at Peterculter and from there the North Deeside road. Can save time if its quiet but because a lot of lorries use it and with it being single lane all the way you can find it taking longer. Grew up in Stonehaven so know it well enough.

I was trying to get the girlfriend along but she's working that day so i'll just have to get her along another time. I think i convinced her when i said she could maybe have a go cos there was a wee sparkle in her eye..........................Balls, what the hell have i said!!!
When I die, I want to go peacefully like my Grandfather did, in his sleep -- not screaming, like the passengers in his car.

this is something i would be interested in trying, but what can a standard fronty lwb achieve with road tyres, mines a 2.8 with lsd on the rear, also i dont want to break my fronty, not because is valuable as its not its because its my only means of transport.

i dont want to get stuck every minute so what fun would i be having ? :D

you can have o lot of fun . you dont have to do the difficult parts of the
site if you dont want to . we have arranged a non damaging section
to test how well you know your 4x4 , in and out canes and the like .
maybe a few minutes on how to use your winch(if you have one)
safely . it will be a full day . i hope you will attend , if only to meet other foggers . im sure jools will add anything i have forgotten . :D
