Hello All, I think that i may be there now, i dropped the tank and the pump housing and 1 wire had come apart so i tightened the wire clips and secured the housing - bingo He's running again but i am still having the problem with the tank pressure - when i ran it up the tank was sucking so hard you could watch the top of the tank draw in through the wheel arch. I had to keep releasing the pressure through the filler cap(and the tank would spring back out). I have replaced any dodgy hoses and drilled a bigger hole in a temp cap and put that in for now so that air can draw in, but still think there is something wrong.

Anyone with the 2.0 sport petrol - Is your filler cap airtight or vented? - i may have got the wrong one from the dealer(airtight) it does not look the same as the original either!!?!
and do you always get a release of pressure from the filler cap?

Dont realy want to be spending a fortune at the dealership but might need to get them to check it over as until I get the all clear, im still quite perplexed
