They are portal axles from a mog, notice where the axel goes into the hub at the top giving alot more diff clearence and are tottaly bomb proof.

What an absolutely cracking day out that was.
Ok, so we (Ste and I) did'nt actually drive much (although we drove as much as we wanted to), the spectacle of around 40 4x4's of all different types and drivers with different skills and abilities was worth watching anyway.
The first convoy drive on the beginners track makes me laugh, as a snake of 40 4x4's zig-zag through some technical ramps, ditches and angles, giving you ample opportunity to wave at the other drivers as you keep passing them.
The "Tuff Truck" arena was interesting and although some of the truck were tuff, they did'nt all clear the obstacles, meaning that the drivers will need to hone their skills.
Around the edges of some fields, John had excavated into the hedgerow, but again the tuff trucks were having problems (possibly due to weight), but the little Zukes just lapped it up.
A trundle through the close technical wooded section would see us assemble at the embankment, where the two Fronteras put on a reasonable good show (well, Ste got a few laughs )
Then it was back to the arena for a spot of lunch.
The horse-shoe pond was next for those wanting to moisten the carpets, and then onto the wading trench for those wanting to dampen their seats (or dashboard) - applause was abundant here.
Finally, we headed back off to the embankment for a Trail (up and down the embankment through the canes - most entertaining.
Lastly, the awards, comprising a number of trophies made out of various car parts and a bottle of Bells for the most "damaged"
A cracking day out.
