It was a cracking day out, allthough a lot of driving and a lot of rain in so much there was not much socialising - but when the rain paused we make good use of the break and had a right old laugh.
Right then, onto the piccies (screen grabs):
The Gap Road
Lawrence is first to try the ravine on the Gap Road (steep is'nt it):
Dave powering up the other side:
Paul takes it in his stride:
Dave tackling the steps:
Ditto Ste:
Ditto Paul:
The view from the north side of the "gap" (it refers to the gap between the mountains):
Four Citroen 2CV's (converted to 4x4):
The view from the drivers seat:
Strata Florida
Dave goes for a swim:
Ste starts listing:
Paul tries the "alternative" route
Video due shortly...

The Gap Road closes on the 15th October due to it's seasonal TRO, but and it is a big but, the Welsh Government meet on the 1st November to discus the NERC Act (that came into effect in England earlier this year) - It is therefore most likely that the Gap Road (being a RUPP) will be closed to motorised vehicles for good from 7th November.
Bottom line: The Gap Road will be closed from 15th October.
Now, what am I doing next weekend ?
