just joined up to really get some help and pick a few brains on my very neglected 2.3tdi LWB Frontera!

i want to get it back on the road and do some modding to it to give it a new lease of life and purpose!

SCCCHWEEEET ahahh..

she needs a lot of TLC and i want to do most of work myself so i know how it works...

its just i look at it and go whoaah ... haha

im not sure how much i was swindeled when i brought it long story!

but i love it too much to give up on it.. even though its been idle for so long now, cuase of one thing and another..

thanks to whomever posted teh techinial wiring for the fuse box in the engine compartment that has cleared up some major issues for me cuase now i know mine is definalty screwed its a wonder she ever drove.. haha

i am missing relays and have wires for spots that arnt connected is all a mess ...

though im in a foul mood tonight, cause i have managed to destroy a back n/s window trying to refit a replacemet after the original one shattered a while back.. the origial job i did was crap so i was going to refit it meh now i gots to find another one.

well sounds like ya gonna be like me, i've been working on my 2.3 for nearly 2 months i have a habit of fixing one bit while breaking another 2!!!!! should be running soon once i fix the injector unit i broke!!!!

hey, can anyone tell me where the control unit for the stock frontera alarm is on a lwb 2.3tdi m reg .. i read that it was conceiled in the dash behind the glove box. i have pull all the panels and the glove box out, attacted is a picture of what i found..




this is connected to the wire hanging down in the first picture..



i duno if any of it is the alarm control
i want to remove it so that i can fit a differnt alarm and imoblizer witha keyfob..

is that the control unit for the alarm/immoblizer?

cause im scratching my noodle, lol cause each time i reconnect the battery now the alarm goes off .. even with the key in the ignition. even went off the last time i took it round the block, while i was driving, so i really want shot of that one and replace it with a new uptodate one with a remote.. and im going to add remote central locking. so i want it all in one package...
