Toms Farm has a dubious reputation in the 4x4 offroading world, as in its a bit of a wild site that is totally unregulated and there have been regular reports of people in 4x4's and on dirt bikes flying around in the evening drunk while camping there.
Of course not all people are like this but the minority make it a very dangerous place.
We the FOG Team are writing this from information gleaned from other 4x4 sites.

A while ago the owner of this farm was convicted and given a suspended jail sentence for animal cruelty.

Thanks for the info Drift, the animal cruelty charges we were not aware of and if we were would not have handed over the cash

The dubious reputation I can understand, it was an interesting place, tbh the 4x4's we saw were all driving sensibly as were most of the bikes, but there were a few bikes around the entrance that were showing little regard for others safety but once in the farm itself it was fine.

Pity really as with a bit more management this would be a superb place to go
