Many years ago each winter work gave me the task of ‘snow duties’ know one wanted to do this, as it involved driving an old series 2a equipped with an hydraulic snow plough.
(Most viewed driving this as some sort of penance.)
Little did they know how much fun I had doing this, although thinking about it now the sight of me grinning ear to ear may have given it away, and maybe my own transport at the time, a 2a sat on the car park, and to think I got paid for it too!
The tyres on the truck were less than useless, Avon’s.
Hill descents was always interesting especially if one had to change course owing to an intrepid hill climber or a ford escort sliding side ways, this maneuver, sometimes akin to sledging is not for the faint of heart.

Looks like you have a trip out arranged and no space for me

Regarding driving by domestic residences during the night, the Wyafarer has a few houses next to the road on the eastern side. White Stones (with the side slope) has the house at the north end where the last gate is.

Be sensitive eh.
