Just had the guy on the phone from the Cottage of Content (pub/campsite) - he was just wanting to confirm that we are all still coming etc.

He also wanted me to let everyone know that can you go into the bar to pay the £7.50 for the pitch when you arrive, or soon after please.

I also told him that we are a car club and should be away by 10am - I haven't mentioned that we're a bunch of hairy @rsed off-roaders and not some classic car club - he was looking forward to seeing us all on the site :D

If you want to leave your tent there through the day with any heavy items that you don't want in the back of your Fronty, then it's best to tackle them about that when you pay.

Last chance for chocolate.

I've got a small price list for chocolate from the Cadbury Staff Shop. PM me if you are interested. I will collect Friday and deliver on Sunday at Aston Cantlow (or at the campsite beforehand) - all at cost price

Andy, I don't think it's going to be very practicle Mate, I didnt even dare to go and look at Great Alne Ford Let alone try it!

I just went out this afternoon and covered 3 of the fording Run Fords but I Chickened out of Temple Balsall (You turned into the Lane and were in the Water Already, It was up to where We Parked at the Meet!!) and Solihull Fords (Solihull was 4ft and rising still)!!

Have you got any of them yummy sweets you had when we went camping
And I eat the lot
Ste

SSteve the weather is predicted dry for a couple of days so the fords might run off, hopefully.
Possible showers Sunday, but that will just help keep your windscreen clean

Well, it looks like I'll be the first to get stuck, as I will only have the use of my very warn, allmost in need of replacement, Jupitor AT's

I can't warrent splashing out on a new set of tyres when I should be buying a bigger set in a week or twos time :D

So, I'll have a quick splash about and then set to work with the video camera.

Ste - what sweets were you referring to ?

Arh, the caffine drops  - Yep, I've got 12 packs of them left, they're out of date, but still tastey.

Don't worry about tyres - you can all practice your recovery/towing techniques on the BBB.

No worries Lawrence - if you don't get stuck you're not trying hard enough! (tm!)

There will be plenty of big strong 2.8's to pull the BBB out

Contemplating whether to remove the tow ball and plough - I have been soaking it in WD40 for a dew weeks, but not got round to doing it. Judging by photos of previous visits, I think I won't bother to take it off - if it survived Avon Dassett, then I'm pretty sure it'll be ok at Aston :)

Other than, all ready mate - still got a sump guard full of mud, but I was going to wait until after Aston to remove it, as it'll only fill up again!

If anyone still needs to do any work saturday afternoon, give me a shout and I'll bring tools over to the campsite, or you can kill..errr...repair stuff on my meagre driveway ;)
