We were first in after trugga made it look so easy, even when the current forced him down river slightly, he was up the bank and home and dry. Then it was our turn…
I eased in the power to follow the bow wave, drop my jaw as i feel the current taking the car sidewards, drop my jaw lower as i see the bow wave lapping over the corner of my bonnet, then i realised my four wheel drive was doing what it should and before i knew it we were safely out the other side home and dry (sort of). It was our turn to stand on the bank and watch the others but we all made it.
Like i say, you can watch the video but until its you in the driving seat and its your frontera up to its fog lights in water ( i know coz mine are still full), you wont really understand the exhileration you feel.
Big thanks to trugga for instruction - his advice was "top bannana" and me and my daughter and my mate and is son had a amazing day. Thanks to everybody else for being patient when my 200 pound nail overheated halfway up the Wayfarer and to goldfinder for the water my hats off to you all
Edit (Trugga): A little punctuation added
