nice 1 m8! i have a 3.5" in dash setup as thers no way a popout screen will fin in an A series as the gear stick it 2 close.
Yeah its a bit close really. Mine is going up on top of the dash in plain view, as an in-car PC will be powering it for sat nav / video / mp3 / email / net access etc.
You can convert the top two heater vents into a DIN-sized hole for a stereo if you want it a little bit more out of the way, then slap a CB in the lower DIN hole where the stereo used to be. Bingo

There's moderators in here?!
Where were we? Ah yes - you might need a spacer plate around the newly-created DIN hole in the heater vent space. I'd suggest looking at a couple of converter plates from halfords and measure up which one would fit best.
Then its just a matter of screwing the cage down to something, ét voilá!
oh and the loom might need extending, but thats just a soldering and heat shrink job!

By the way remember Campers (sound like Billy Butlin) the more gear you bring the heavier your car will be and hence lower ground clearance.
As Im summising that all the camping gear will be in the back of your car on the sunday (unless your staying sunday night of course) and thats the main play day, so keep gear to a minimum and light.
Beer doesnt count as we will drink that before sunday
