Update from Difflock - The Gap is currently legal to drive, untill 15th October when NERCA is initiated in Wales.

thats a real shame and I think very mean as there was a TRO on this road for most of the year.
So when do they start to limit the time the ramblers have to use and abuse the gap?

Oops, I was slightly incorrect with my last post.
The TRO on the Gap comes back into effect on 15th October
The NECA comes into effect in Wales on 1st November (when all RUPP's become RB's and subsequently illegal to drive - unless effected by the 5 year main se clause)

At the moment it is now looking very unlikely that I will be able to make it. The wife's shifts have been changed around and it looks likely that she will be working the 30th

We'll, as we're in the week prior, I better come up with some "arrangements".
Current thinking is to meet somewhere south of the Gap for probably 10:00.
Dave had suggested he and I (and Steve?) convoy down from the Midlands, meeting up with Ste. Have I missed anyone?
I don't belive the weather should affect the Gap, but we'll have to have a looksee at Strata Florida. We might get Happy Valley in but it will be late when we get to the Wayfarer. We could always make it up as we go along (nothing new there then, I hear you say).
I'm looking forward to a good day out (on standard suspension), in the company of the 2.8s (plus whatever Steve has)

Steve Hawthorne is trying to get his exhaust manifold fixed(2.2DTi), if done he`ll meet up with us at the first greenlane in Wales. If not he`ll like to meet us near the finish if possible to leave his car there and jump in with me and collect his car at the end of the day, hope this all makes sense!!So if you`ve got a start and possible finish lane Lawrence that would be helpful.
Difflock Dave.
