Fronteras' Offroad - River Crossing

Postby Trugga on Mon Mar 06, 2006 8:03 am

In case there are any doubters, the VX Frontera in standard trim can ford a river - a few videos here

The group comprised a LWB 2.8 Diesel, a SWB 2.0 Petrol and a newer 2.0 Sport Petrol (on worn road tyres) - we also had a Surf and a LR90 along for the ride.

More pictures and video clips to be added during the week.

Enjoy

Lawrence

Do you have a course-map for that Derbyshire trek still?
(Maybe cutting the Carwash out! my Mrs would kill me &
We'll be on our own!)

I'm off work week after next and think that'll be fun for the family!

Know what ? Did someone say my name ?

Seriously, the origonal vid was removed by me due to my ISP moaning about exhausting his bandwidth (popular video at the time). But at least the participant now have the 34 minute DVD I managed to coble together.

Regarding the route in Derbyshire, it was actally in north Wales. I am very reluctant to releace the full route because 1. I do not know you and how you might drive sensetive areas and 2. Since the NERC act, part of the route is now not legal to drive.

I'll be organising some other green lane runs later in the year, possibly July onwards.
