During that time you will have drive a little under 40 miles, 75% of which will have been unsurface roads (green lanes). You will have also stopped for a few coffee breaks and taken the opportunity to take lots of photos.

Just to confirm Lawrence, is this still the plan you have in mind?

Yep, that's the plan - it's worked ok in the past so I see no need to change it at such short notice.

Weather forecast looks good:

Sunday: sunny, Max Temp: 22°C (71°F), Min Temp: 14°C (57°F)

Max Temp: 22°C (71°F), Min Temp: 14°C (57°F), Wind Direction: S, Wind Speed: 10mph, Visibility: moderate, Pressure: 1017mb, Humidity: 64%, UV risk: moderate, Pollution: low, Sunrise: 05:02BST, Sunset: 21:33BST

Bany's is leaf sprung and midly lifted - not sure if your (standard length ?) breather kit from a coiler will add any benefit.

I'm sure Barney can find a length of fuel hose knocking around the workshop(s) easily enough

Today my fronty let wind, (she blow the clips on the air filter box from a back fire on the turn of the key during start up)
Probably a Fri 13th thing.
Then proceeded to run on what sounded like 5 cylinders.
A wile later she was running fine-ish, but still with the eng manegemrt light on.
Fortunately I was able to run a diagnostic on tech 2, which revealed low battery voltage, failed immobiliser and excessive EGR. (None of which where actually still present)
Reset, and tested with no faults present, on goes the Fri 13th mystery.

I think she wants to bottle it for this trip, or (more likely) has a good sense of humour and likes to see my stress levels elevated.

Any way she purring like a pussycat now, not done anything to her other than change the fuel filter wile I felt in the mood, and as it was rolling about in the boot waiting for me to fit.

Tested the battery, result….unserviceable…. ummm I may have to keep it over the weekend for the trip.

I suppose if it can go wrong it will!
