To swop or not?

I am thinking of swopping my 2.5 V6 vectra design edition 2000 62000 miles bla bla bla for a Frontera, we need the extra space.

You all know much more about fronteras than me, Good or am I mad?
What should I look out for? I know they are thirsty, we don't do much driving but when we do we want space and something fun to drive.

Any comments would be great.

Go for it. Iv had a 2.2 for 2 years now (all be it a 1999 model) fantastic car

Obviously do all the normal checks, leaks rot etc when you look at it. Make sure the Timing Belt has been changed at the correct intervals as a broken one will cost £££ to mend the engine (Should have been changed every 40k miles)

You wont regret getting a 2.2

Average 30 mpg if you drive it sensibly.

We can carry out an inspection if required see car inspections only real fault of 2.2 is exhaust manifold

make sure it has good service history

has decent wellies

Good point Steve..... the exahust manifold is a weak point on the 2.2, prone to cracking



Cant be seen unless the heat shield is removed
