After putting in the new engine i have had only one problem and that was the eml came on every now and again. I had a spare set of vacuum actuators so fitted them then looked at the vacuum pipe to the egr valve and sure enough there was a little nick in the pipe about 2" from the valve. I nipped it off and now she is spot on, no more light coming on! All i need now is a decent set of clocks and she is perfect again!!!!!!

Not really 'Done anything' to it but we did do 100 mile and even did a spot of laning today. EML lights back on again Gonna have to get it scanned tomorrow as I fitted a new (Genuine) crank sensor on Tuesday

Found a bargain in fleebay and was not able to resist. Got a letter from Liverpool yesterday and now have a look





Then replaced a broken mechanic part of my alfa's electric rear window - common fault.

. mid section exhaust
. stereo
. aerial
. internal feet-level door bulbs, and one of the red plastic light caps
. applied a couple can's of Wynn's EGR cleaner
. air filter
. sparks
. fuel filter

Mostly nice'n'simples... hate doing exhausts tho lol

Still need to;

. identify dead (was intermittent) speedo problem and fix..
. do something with the turbo .. sounds awful lol
. 4x4 light flashing .. can enable 4x4 at standstill, but not whilst on the move

Started the strip down to do head gasket/ head replacement ..but coz of the rain spent most of the afternoon rednecking a shelter out of a 5.4m x7m tarp and 2 x 4 m lengths of 2x1 some nylon rope and some cable ties . covered the whole car and the entrance to my mates (too full to take a car) garage.

Replaced two heads ,head gasket and several other gaskets .galleons of water and oil .and when I put her all back together last night she ran like a bag of ball bearings in a washing machine .. But I carried on this morning and re-torqued the head bolts and now she runs like a dream and no water leaks .the bad running last night might just have been air in the fuel system .So another one lives to fight another day

forgot to add that the superb write up from Keith (Rifleman) on the subject was a great help ..

Lay on me back in the pouring rain covered in leaves removing the trans on the 3.2 after the clutch exploded earlier this week.

Lay on me back in 3 inches of dirty water covered in dead leaves and replaced my transmission after replacing the clutch.
