WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Truck
Took it for a quick test drive. Went well, great improvement over the old axle. Just need to adjust the hand brake (I really, really don't like fronty handbrakes) a bit and then the back end of the truck's pretty much done. Front end there's just the top ball joints and the Steering Relay Centre Rod left to swap and it's in for an MOT on the 31st. This posting may have been helpfull, on the other hand probably not... Either way, I may have had drink when posting it in which case it's probably not as helpfull as it could have been
Work safe, and remember all technical problems can be resolved with a hammer, the trick is knowing where to hit it and how big a hammer to use (I often find it may also help to have a spare bit in the shed to replace the bit you have just mullered Work in Progress (or not as the case may be) I give you.... 'O-no' the truck. Comments on 'O-no' the truck may be left here Work in Progress (or not as the case may be) I give you.... Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Got a new toy......
![]() Had a coming together with a tree on christmas eve, so will need some forklift/big hammer/mig/filler attention to the roof before its out, but this is gonna be my new laner/towcar, until the 2.8 shorty is fully modded, and then just the towcar... 4litre on lpg, high output manifolds and induction system, 3" roughcountry lift, bushwacker styley flares, kuhmo kl71's...and its the Orvis version, so its like DFS's sofa shop inside....and not much silencing!!!! To come, winch bumper, lightbar, safari styley roof rack off my other jeep Check out the index thread below where pics/reviews from all our past meets can be found!!!!

Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Like that Gregster.
Today I removed and stripped my winch, gearbox looked like it was full of chocolate caramel. Very thick....wonder if that's why it wouldn't work.

Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Looks cool. Had my eye on those before I decided to go with a Frontera but wasn't sure about the axles as jeeps have a reputation for breaking them. And cost of mods. But that one looks nice! Going to be a mission getting that roof line to accept a windscreen tho isn't it?

Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Shouldnt be too bad to do, its a bonded screen so there is a bit of forgiveness in the sikaflex, its not like a screen that goes in on rubbers where precision is essential.LOL...There is a bit of corrosion anyway at the top of the screen, so will probably just graft in new straight edge for the screen to seal against once the roof is straightened. Am not after an oil painting with it, so long as the roof is straightish, and the screen doesnt leak then that will be fine...A cunningly placed light bar will hide a lot anyway, and its high enough that you cant kinda look down on it either.
Am thinking that with the tine extentions on the forklift and some blocks to lift the roof that most of it should push out easy enough, whilst panel beating any highpoints down from outside. Will take a couple of days to sort properly, but its well worth doing, it passed its MOT at the end of November!
