Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Not me (well, not all of it, cheers for the help lads) Truck had it's rear shocks replaced at the BBQ/Spanner thingy at Bobbys. Bit of a job apparantly.
This posting may have been helpfull, on the other hand probably not... Either way, I may have had drink when posting it in which case it's probably not as helpfull as it could have been
Work safe, and remember all technical problems can be resolved with a hammer, the trick is knowing where to hit it and how big a hammer to use (I often find it may also help to have a spare bit in the shed to replace the bit you have just mullered Work in Progress (or not as the case may be) I give you.... Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!
Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Last night on leaving work i put the keys in the ignition but no lights. So thought what did i leave on? Checking i could see nothing. So i put the jump pack on and got dash lights and the electric fan that i had put in. I started It, took the pack off jumped in to be met by smoke billowing from my CB radio wires they were glowing nice in the dark. Turned it off. Checked under the dash to find that for some reason the new electric fan i had fitted had decided to start while i was in work and use all the power from the battery and then melt all the wires. I ripped them all out and managed to drive home. Its now sat on the car park looking a bit forlorn!!! Will sort it when i get time. I have disconnected the battery !!!!

Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!The last week i have been sorting the drivers welding inner and outer sills of the Bighorn that the previose owner made a mess off. Once the rain calms down will do other other side sort the bubbling on arches then i will sadly be selling or swapping it.
Who ever let the idiot loose with a welder should be slapped he patched rust how he managed to weld a metal patch on to rust is amazing rather than cut the rust out he just welded onto it . Meaning i had to cut the 75% of it off an shape metal to match the original inner and outer least its solid again 1989 Isuzu Trooper 2.6 (3.1 conversion )

Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Went and collected my new boat and towed it home, much to sallys delight...
The mast on it was a bit longer than expected, and struggled to clear the discos roof, so had to angle it up a lot, which kinda made it stick up way more than was sensible...got some funny looks though...gonna extend the front of the trailer, which will make launching easier too... Check out the index thread below where pics/reviews from all our past meets can be found!!!!
