Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Discovered that a wheel bearing had broken and mullered the N/S front hub
This posting may have been helpfull, on the other hand probably not... Either way, I may have had drink when posting it in which case it's probably not as helpfull as it could have been
Work safe, and remember all technical problems can be resolved with a hammer, the trick is knowing where to hit it and how big a hammer to use (I often find it may also help to have a spare bit in the shed to replace the bit you have just mullered Work in Progress (or not as the case may be) I give you.... Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!More work on the rock/tree sliders, fitted the mounting plates to the 2.8, propped the sliders in place and the tack welded it all together, removed from 2.8 and finished off the welding.
If its dry tomorrow will refit the sliders and work out the dimensions for the tree slider tubes ![]() Soon to be without a Frontera after 10 years of owning one
Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!I changed the aux belt, the old one was that stretched it caused the idler to bounce and squeek way to much, cleaned out the air feed/boost pipes, noticed abit of light oil on the inlet side of the turbo
Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!^^^^^^ hope it sorts your problems bud
Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Checked fluids greased greasy things refitted a cleaned K&N air filter then loaded the thing full of parts to the gills, God knows how I am going to get my camping gear and supplies in it

Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Decided to see if the old Sport would start - no... but it did with the battery booster
I needed to go to the cashpoint, so with the booster on the passenger seat, took the old Sport for a run. Oh my, what fun. Even though the tyres were a little soft, it sure is a sprightly little thing. Of course, having stopped the engine whilst getting cash, it had to be jumped again to get it started. Twas good fun, I miss it - but it will be reincarnated one day. Lawrence
