Today i have started work on refurbishing a crusty corroded set of pepperpot alloys

Trying to decide on colour.... White, Black, Silver, Anhtracite or Light Gold

today since i am off work ill i had time to clean the car.

so it was washed and then polished then had extra gloss protection applied, so it is really shiny

Today i got home from work, removed the tow bar (i really hated it) and changed the air filter. by the looks of the air filter no ones serviced it for a very long time as the once white filter was completely black and had half the contents of someones lawnmower and 3 dead wasps in it, looked up how to do the fuel filter without bleeding the system but only have 1 pair of grips so it will have to wait til saturday, i dread to think what state the fuel filter and engine oil is in as they couldnt even spend 1 minute swapping the air one.

After 2 months finally got around to puttying a radio in and wiring up the cb, and had a look why it's got no power and doing 15mpg found out the exhaust had collapsed so cut the back box off and at least its go a bit of power now not a lot after driving the v6 for so long , I really miss that truck wish I never sold it (think it might be time for another v6)

Charging battery as keeps going flat after 2-3 days.

I made a start on the rear axle today. Car is now on axle stands with no back wheels

1 Removed the half shafts
2 removed the rear diff **

Took mine for its first 'Controle Technique' the French version of the MOT.
She PASSED! with no advisories, and an offer to buy from Jérome, my friendly tester who has inspected all my cars since being in France.

He offered me €3,000 as he was looking for a 4x4 for hunting, a popular pastime here in Brittany.

I declined, even though I only paid €500 for her a month or so back, he showed me around while she was on the ramps, and was amazed
at the complete lack of corrosion underneath he says he's never seen a better one, and that the offer would stand!

If he'd offered that when I bought her, I may have snapped his hand off, but then she was running like a dog, with leaky spill pipes, clogged
EGR and inlet. Now she is running perfect, and I shall be hanging on to my, completely RUST FREE Frontera!

Finally the weather was good enough for me to change the alternator and power steering belts
The volts dont drop to 9v anymore with the headlights on you should have seen the state of the old belt

Went for a quick spin and it felt good

Took spare wheel and carrier off the back door, that's made it a lot lighter and it has stopped it from twisting when you open it
