Picked my exhaust centre box up out of the middle of the road, f#@&ing thing

Failed MOT on upper and lower ball joints, both sides, hazard warning light switch, fuel pipe, and CV gaiter. Spent all week putting new ones on, never done anything like this before,,,what a ~~~~~ of a job,lol.
Not being in the slightest mechanical, i struggled, but with help from my Son in law got it sorted

We all started somewhere, and its only by doing things yourself you learn.

Ball joints aren't the easiest of things and can be a real pain even for the best of us.

Did half my brakes passenger side disks and pads done.
Was starting to rain before I started the driver side so gave up, got till Monday to sort it for the retest

Had a customer at work directed towards me today asking about a frontera that they had been offered...Its a 2.2dti auto on a W plate...apparently he got offered it for £1000 with 80 odd K on the clock....told him about the fuel pump etc and he seemed pretty happy...so might have a new FOGer in Cambridge soon

Other than that...nothing on mine, other than bought a new (to me) starter for the 2.8, so mine should be back up and running next week

Oil n filters changed and while i was at it, managed to slip a 3" lift under her!

snapped the driver side caliper carrier changing the brake pads
so nipped to allvox and now got some replacements
guess what im doing tomorrow

shoved a 10mm high tensile bolt through the bulkhead and the clutch pedal bracket , no more creaky flexing

Finished doing the drivers side disks and pads and the rear bushes for the retest on Monday,
However while doing said disk and pads had to change the caliper too as mine was leaking might explain the imbalance
The rear bushes were well gone and I wouldn't have noticed

Just took it for a quick once around the block to check the brakes work and I realised I really need to look at some stiffer shocks as nose diving is an understatement

I took mine for its weekly 9 mile spin around the back lanes
All is good

Fitted the replacement tank carrier i got of the SWB.
Head gasket tomorrow.
The 2.8 hasn't moved a muscle all week.

Cleaned the concrete splashes off it!!!

Finally fitted the +2" springs, changed the rear diff oil, and shultzed the back end chassis/wheel arches etc
