Had a puncture at work, spare was like 30 miles away Luckily the can of tyre leak fix worked and the tyre held enough air to get home but according to the tyre place is now a write off due to the stuff I put in it, seems it prevents the patch they put in from sticking ? Bit of BS I reckon designed to let them sell a new tyre which didnt happen. Spare went on instead.

Apart from that, the truck is going okay, whines a bit in top gear still though so I think a replacement gearbox is in order.

hard wired one of the rad fans in to a switch on the dash to save it from getting to hot in traffic and when towing even managed to get the same color bulb in tghe switch as the truck

today so far me and foggy
spent this morning replacing my leaking water pump.
and i found the fast way of emptying the coolant
and is now all back together and new coolant again.

hopefully that is now sorted

Yesterday me and my brother went to the peaks for a spot of laning. Only did 226 miles...was expecting more lol. But the truck apart from getting a little hot on the way back (even with rad fans on) didn't miss a beat. Also might just be me having spent 13.5 hr's in the car but the whine from the rear seemed much less noticeable

And once I've given her a good clean and taken off the bits I'm keeping she's going up for sale . Would like to see her gone by this time next month at the very latest.

Drove to Penrith on Friday and spent saturday Stripping a 95 trooper in the hot sun on a farm left saturday night with a bighorn full of 3.1 trooper parts lovely lovely

Put the mud tyres on ready for the weekender. But if this weather keeps up i don't think I'll need them.
They have forcast rain for Friday but that can still change.

Stuck Sophie in for her MOT....

Sadly she failed, but nothing too spectacular. Headlamp adjusters need freeing up a bit more to get the aim right (Thought I'd done enough fiddling with that to sort it over the weekend), and one of the lower balljoint dustcovers has split.
At least that probably explains the occasional clicking noise I get going over bumps, and probably isn't a major issue to fix.

£20 a good price for a new balljoint??

I took it up for a blast down the M57 and M62 to Warrington as she aint moved for a while....bugger me the car just wanted to keep on going past legality and had loads to give

Thinking I may as well (as Hound Dog suggests) cos when I swap the new suspension bits on from Holly, I'll have to replace them anyhow.

Yup all in one fell swoop, when fitting the top joints flip them, easier to do front axle work then without separating the joints

Methinks I'll be blagging some axle stands, and a bit of hand holding in case I screw up changing them in the woods this weekend.

Washed the new one

I single handedly wired in my twin subs, twin amps and for good measure thought id put the PS2 in there while i was at the back of the stereo
(was gonna put the ps3 in but it pulled too much current for my inverter same as the 360 )

shot blasted my alloys today and got them under coated with red lead primer ready for matt black top coat
