WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Saturday refilled the rear diff with oil in Halfords car park in Newcastle as for somereason it spat it out all over the trailer, yeaterday i stripped down a seized brake caliper cleaned and rebuilt it.
For the life of me i cant work out how the diff oil came out, the seals are all ok the breather is clear and goes to the engine bay???
Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Refitted rear mudflaps (not as straight forward as it sounds)
Checked box + diff levels removed the other mashed front FOG light piddled around with the aerial and got nowhere Replaced 2 missing gearbox bolts and tightened the rest that were finger tight Removed 3 yards of cable that started at the glowplug relays and didnt actually connect to anything at the other end
Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Repaired one of the inner wings (rust holes) on the Landy with part of christine's roof that I cut off before I scraped her

Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Having woken up around 1ish after a weekend of watching Dan throw some wicked trappin's under both his trucks, I FINALLY got chance to do something on mine - a much needed oil change! Runs majestically smooth now, making me want to look after it even more! Timed it nicely as not 3mins after I finished did the heavens open - not seen a 'grey' out from rain in years
Oh, and with a newly acquired/working CB, tomorrow I'll be planning a wiring plan for some additional ideas as well as the CB! But now, sleep! Don't confuse your books:

Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Trucks been sitting idle for over a week, one of the tyres had gone soggy so that got refilled with air. I have had the solar trickle-feeder wired in whilst the cars been laid up - first turn of the key and it fired up up, a couple of seconds later the oil found its way around the engine and it was ticking over a treat. Phew!
Tomorrow, the new road tax. (Also introduced a Fronty owner to the existence of FOG, seems keen to join up). Kodiak Transglobe 2.0 SWB

Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Washed her ... or rather found some keen polish guys down the road from work to wash her. The look of surprise on their faces as the thick layer of mud came off and they found paint and no rust. "She is very good condition my friend!!" was one comment. Then watching them scramble and lift each other up to clean the roof along with using the wheels as steps to get to other bits. Lastly they were so impressed they even jetwashed the entire chassis and underside as they could get the lance in. Stopped afterwards for a coffee and chatted to the guy in charge about her and he said he loves older 4x4's and he hates modern vehicles that have too many electronics.

Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Used mine to go to work, removed spare wheel carrier, steam cleaned all the trees n mud off and found the reason that i get a mis-fire first thing n when i hit big puddles.... as i was spraying GT85 around my nice clean engine bay the truck was mis-firing due to the water so thought id check the ht leads again whilst they were wet, only to get a nice shock off the number 4 lead, tried to push it further onto the plug but it was well on already so followed cable to the dizzy and it came off in my hand
Also very supprised at how quiet the 33"s are on the tarmac and how well she goes with them on, got to get used to the handling tho Next job: Get it ready for wales!! ![]() IF ITS NOT BROKE, YOUR NOT TRYING HARD ENOUGH!!

Everything came apart and went bact together great, But, I now need to change the o/s wheel bearing, as the race is pitted
Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Changed oil, oil filter, fuel filter and air filter.
Would have done it 4 hours sooner had I realised the numpty delivery guy had dumped everything by the front door without ringing the bell .
Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Managed to change the oil and filter, now my oil pressure is back up to normal. Thank god for that!!!
