Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!I went to the British indoor 4x4 show and brought a couple of shackles and a new towing strap ready for the Strata trip next month.
There was a lack of Fronties there both in the exhibition hall and in the car park which was a bit sad. I did have a chuckle when looking around the green ovals display vehicles, they all had a least one small puddle of oil underneath unlike there Japanese counterparts. Best bit for me was the Zuki SJ with 38s on, the owner must of been 7 foot tall or had a step ladder to get into it. One of the guys was saying the thing almost shook it's self to bits on the drive there due to the extreme mud tyres, even the nyloc nuts were coming loose I would prefer a full bottle in front of me than a full frontal lobotomy.

Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Couldn't quite believe the amount of available bits up there Rob. Little treasure trove of Series A sport bits and pieces.
Those hubs do look the business as well. Nice and shiny ... not that they will stay that way for long lol. As for me I managed to get a window mechanism with motor for my Troop. Chucking it down with rain though today so fitting it will be delayed ![]() ![]() My members ride For Banshee the Trooper : viewtopic.php?f=46&t=34626 My members ride for Leeloo the Lotus Edition viewtopic.php?f=46&t=60154 Deceased My members ride for Brenda the Bighorn : viewtopic.php?f=46&t=54771

Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Fudge your better off fitting the fixed hubs off of a B series no welding involved just bolt on and go.
ROADS? WHERE WERE GOING WE DON'T NEED ROADS!!
Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!apart from the spline at the end of the CV joint is too long.

Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!No they wont, I think the shaft and circlip placement is different.
As fudge said the end of the shaft is different on the B series to the A series as the B's do not have the extra bit sticking out for the auto circlip to attach to and this could make the shaft too long on the A series to us B series hubs. Ste

Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Manual hubs locate on the inner circlip groove. Auto's on the outer groove. If your saying the B series only has the inner groove on the CV joint, then fitting the B series hub to the A series will be no issue as A series CV joints have both grooves so you can fit either manual or auto hubs.
By that reasoning then a B series can have its original locked hub or a manually locking hub as both require the inner larger circlip groove: ![]() If you wanted to use the B series hubs on an A series I would just take the end of the CV joint off then. Much easier and cheaper than messing about with an autohub welding it up ... and to be honest quicker and possibly cheaper. ![]() ![]() My members ride For Banshee the Trooper : viewtopic.php?f=46&t=34626 My members ride for Leeloo the Lotus Edition viewtopic.php?f=46&t=60154 Deceased My members ride for Brenda the Bighorn : viewtopic.php?f=46&t=54771
