fitted new clutch master this morning, started bleeding and realised slave had failed too so drove almost 100 miles round trip for another one and just got home and fitted it and bled the system, took her for a wash and a bit of go go juice and shes running lovely clutch master cylinder £25 slave £10 would love to know how much a garage would have charged thank god i can do it myself, all in all a brill day for me and now providing when i check the seals on the slave and master when its dry then shes all set for weston coyney quarry this sunday

finally got around to fixing one of last years mot advisories..movement in steering column..

the usual fault..loose shear bolts. one was nearly all the way out (approx 10mm) and the other was finger tight, the nut underneath was also loose..replaced with M6 30mm bolts along with threadlock and a nylock nut..

free and easy, the best repair of all..(would have only cost less that a fiver if i didn't have the nuts and bolts to hand, I wonder how much a garage would have charged me..."Oh, your steering wheel is loose!..looks like your gunna need a new column...bushes definatly gone...non-repairable")

Re-designed my o/s rear quarter n light cluster on the new fence at the new house!! OOPS!! oh well such is life..

Removed one of the running boards as it was hanging on with rust and checked all over fronty in readiness for MOT tmoz.

Today i took of my towbar as i bent it at the last annual meet and got fed up ploughing every time i went to the woods.
I replaced it with the vx original one (removable swan neck) i took off.
And its nice being able to get in the boot without whacking my legs on it.

Took my car to the garage as I am too lazy these days to do anything myself, to have the offside CV joint replaced....

Well I haven't started mine for 4 weeks
I checked the oil and water and was all fine
I reconnected the battery and then I tried to start her

SHE STARTED FIRST TIME

I did 106 miles round trip and she did not miss a beat

Cost me £80 pound in fuel though

Well I filled up to the rim before I set of costing me £115.30
and I did tank it back about 80 to 60 MPH depending on what hills I hit
And I filled her up again costing £80.57

Ive just got 410 mile to the tank on diesel and some here reckoned that was low (modified and me liking turbo noise )
I think I would be fettling stuff If I was you
