Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!finally got baby sport`s head gasket done, been a few week but the stupid £400 quote i got in the beginning was totally destroyed by autofix in ebbw vale for............ wait for it...........£200 inc gasket kit, new cambelt kit, oil n filter antifreeze also included was pressure testing and a skim, value for money or what.
the head had been off just before i bought it they knew the gasket had gone so torqued the head bolts right down so far that they had twisted, plus the previous owner had split the head n barrels with a screwdriver n thats the only reason i needed the head skimmed,to get rid of the efn big gouge the idiot had put there. she`s running sweet now. k+n 57i kit is on, full cobra safari bull bars on,stainless spare wheel cover is on.waiting on some large driving lamps and a full powerflo exhaust. anyone got a set of stainless swb side steps they want to part with ?? baz

Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Drove it for the first time in 2 days. It runs as it should, but it's still no match for the Mrs' 2.5. Drove that tonight and it makes me smile every time!
Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Put 40 litres of professionally refined WVO in the 2.5 today. Have to say the smell is awesome
Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!(Well, yesterday), son wanted to do some photography for a project he is working on - to the foothills we went and yippee, had to drive up a very poor track with deep muddied puddles, overgrown brush and steep gradient. 4wd lo was the order of the day for a few hundred yards

Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Got the rear brakes apart and sorted the hand brake - holds on 4 notches now. Started off being a bit of a pain because it's guess work which way the adjustor turns - got peeded off with guessing if I was turning the right way so decided to take the drum off to know for sure. Paid dividends on the off side because the adjustor was over tightened on the closed position and needed attacking with a couple of pairs of grips to loosen off.
Finally found the reason why the full guage wasn't working - broken wires - just need to buy some bullet connectors and reconnect up.
Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!well yesterday i was over in birmingham and i left my jacket and my keys in a friends there, only realised half way home
(had a few too many so today i broke in through the passenger door and then removed the ignission barrel (im not telling how i did this with out a key) and then went on a look at the local scrappy for a new one. and found non at my local one, so tomorrow i will be gouing to one where there is about 10 fronty a in so i should be able to find one. so i now need a new barrel and door locks(might as well wile i am there) but my car is now all locked up with the battrey removed for good measure CARTREK

Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Fudge
Why didn't you just get the keys posted to you wrapped in the jumper so no knows whats in the package and saves you having to go through all the trouble of getting new barrels. If they send it recorded delivery it would only take a couple of days and they are tracked. ![]() ![]() My members ride For Banshee the Trooper : viewtopic.php?f=46&t=34626 My members ride for Leeloo the Lotus Edition viewtopic.php?f=46&t=60154 Deceased My members ride for Brenda the Bighorn : viewtopic.php?f=46&t=54771
Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Used the truck today and thankfully the radio is behaving itself.
(Fudge, another practice to get forgotten keys home is to have them posted to a pals address ensuring the pal knows to expect them and the sender puts no information in the package to indicate who the keys are intended for. Have done it myself Kodiak Transglobe 2.0 SWB
