Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!I did a bit more work on Chugga.
Cleaned away the rusty buts on the passenger door, sill and on the bonnet, and painted with smooth black Hammerite. Not a great finish, but if she passes her MOT, I'm, not gonna be too fussy... ![]() FINALLY got the knackered driver's seat out (only been meaning to do it since I bought her last June). Will leave it out for now, to improve access for the conversion... ![]() Jim and Phoenix

Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!i'm having one of those weeks
I've have a clunk/bang every now and then from the offside front of truck. i was having a look and found the o/s body mount (2+ lift) in front wheel arch was loose. so out come the tool box to tighten the bolt up. then the bolt sheared. i will have to find a new bolt tomorrow now i hate having Dyslexia
Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Sorted out an annoying oil leak on the Turbo oil return pipe flange to sump.
![]() Once I got to it (had to take the main bash plate and oil filter off) I found that the top stud had come loose because the thread was stripped in the casting. Luckily the studs do not bottom out in the holes so there was enough retrievable thread in the hole to save the day if I put a longer stud in. ![]() New, longer stud hot off the lathe sat next to the old shorter one. ![]() New stud in position, ready for the pipe flange, which was a proper ***** to get back on. ![]() All done and bolted up. Went for test run, no oil leaks This posting may have been helpfull, on the other hand probably not... Either way, I may have had drink when posting it in which case it's probably not as helpfull as it could have been

Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!I got the bulkhead on Chugga almost finished. Looks pretty good (even if the sealer doesn't), but needs a couple of more brackets to make sure the top half is nice and sturdy.
Re-mounted the spare wheel and carrier... ![]() ![]() ![]() Looks a bit of a dog's dinner, but not quite finished yet... ![]() Inside view... ![]() I also got the replacement driver's seat fitted. She's booked into the local garage on Tuesday to have the rear shocks done, as the top nut on the N.S. is seized. Jim and Phoenix

I split the tank guard from fuel tank. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() THE BASH PLATE i made survived the year shame i cant say same for the tank guard spoke to a mate who said he will weld the bash plate to the tankguard for me. The tank has a dent under neath dont know how to get that out was done offroading i had to straighten the bash plate. I also sorted a tempory fix to my corner bumper that got damaged that time the front wheel came off last year its was corroded anyway.
