Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!We need a "how to do it".
Want some. Oh yes. By the way ...Tow started a green oval with one of those BMW things where an engine should be. If you need something done quickly just ask a busy woman then get the f"k out of her way.
Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Set to on two more of the rims. Should have 4 ready for tyres next weekend.

Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Yesterday... broke down on a main road. Engine cut out at 50mph, coasted to the side, hazards on, traffic stacking up behind.
All the ignition lights were on, it would crank but would not fire. Popped bonnedt, disconnected and reconnected the MAF and Crank Position Sensor electrical connections, tried the key and it fired up - been fine ever since. Looks like I'll gace to tweak the connectors to ensure a cood electrical connection - they're probably a bit worn. Lawrence
Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!I greased all the hinges, wiper mechanisms and the bonnet catch. Topped up the break & clutch fluid, and the PAS fluid...steering doesn't groan now.
Also adjusted the steering, and gave the interior a quick wipe over with some cleaning wipes. Last edited by James Bass on Mon Jan 24, 2011 5:27 pm, edited 1 time in total.

Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Fixed the fault i had with under bonnet spots, (bad earth on truck and a loose connection at one of the spots),
Replaced a worn wheel bearing (noticed brake pads are nearly shot so baught new ones for another day), Washed all the crappy salt off the truck. Sometimes the light at the end of the tunnel is an oncoming train,

Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Finally got my hand throttle working again. Thought it was disconnected or broken, Turned out to be clunged with gack. Liberal useage of WD40 and hey presto. Now I can set the idle revs anywhere between 650-3000 rpm.

Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Hi All
Fitted a new UJ to the rear of the rear prop, took about 45 minutes after I got the prop off, no more squeaks from that area. Was quotes various prices including £52.86 from one national parts supplier, my local high street supplier fitted me up with a Quinton Hasel unit part number QL16103 for £18.00. came with clips and fits a treat, down side is that it's a sealed for lift version (no grease nipple). Laters Stuart Remember, keep the greasy side down!
Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Tom, those LED lamps you have fitted to your Frontera, are they self adhesive or have you had to do some drilling? Cheers. David.

Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Painted another coat on the new plate that was welded to the drivers side sill. Dug out an old pair of headlamp protectors which, of a fashion, fit the Fronty and fitted them. With all the pot holes and associated gravel don't want to risk a cracked headlamp lens.
