Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Removed tank.
made one new tank strap.. found one under heat shield is also shot.. ripped bolts through heat shield while undoing other tank strap.. removed loads of mud from Wales out of guard.. re-painted inside of tank guard.. cleaned petrol tank.. got cold..so gave up..second half will be tomorrow.. plus side no sheared bolts..(couple of split pipes and destroyed 13 year old clips..but hey ho, what do you expect) The greatest lesson in life is to know that even us idiots are right sometimes

Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Nearly killed some suicidal idiot in a small 2 door rusty hatchback on the mainroad going through Lyneham.
Parking space out side of the Tesco (on the main road) I was on the other side of the road, did the mirror, signal, mirror, manoeuvre bit and crossed over to go into the space. Meantime suicide jockey in the rust heap decides to take off like a loon... no looksee, no signals and no mirror action, the only reason he didnt get tyre tracks across the roof was me stomping on the brakes. It's not as if the frontie is'nt obvious. It's big enough to have filled the mirror if it had only looked ffs, the only thing it saw when finally looking out the window was the frontera and I always, out of habit drive with the lights on, day or night (too used to Volvo's and the daytime running light). Next time I'm just gonna park on top and forget the brakes. Still fuming lol. This posting may have been helpfull, on the other hand probably not... Either way, I may have had drink when posting it in which case it's probably not as helpfull as it could have been
Work safe, and remember all technical problems can be resolved with a hammer, the trick is knowing where to hit it and how big a hammer to use (I often find it may also help to have a spare bit in the shed to replace the bit you have just mullered Work in Progress (or not as the case may be) I give you.... Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Hi All
Broke it So I'd better get a new UJ, anybody got any ideas where from and how much roughly (mail order would be good)? Had a look on Ebay but didn't see any for an A series 2.8 sport or a Frontera at all, any ideas what else might fit? Changing it's not a problem, I got a spanner or two!! Laters Stuart Remember, keep the greasy side down!
