These arrived today so i fitted my old 6x9's that were sitting in the garage.

I decided to remove the centre console looking for a live I could tap into when my CB arrives. Wasn't expecting to find a leak though



It has run through underneath the rear carpets which is why I hadn't spotted it , but it would explain why the windows were always misty

Needed a quick fix so a 2 pence piece and some pipe sealant came to the rescue




Then fitted something I've had for a while but never get around to fitting. A FOG sticker



Also removed all electrical connectors from the MAP/MAF/Diesel Pump/Vac pumps and ECU relay and sprayed with contact spray, blew them out with the compressor then sprayed with silicone spray.

reconnected the battery after a good charge & tested the arches for clearance from lock to lock & its rub free HOORAH

I removed the spare wheel and carrier from the back on The Beast. I think she looks SOOO much better now....

Sunday finally decided to do something about the grot on the front of the bonnet, took the angle grinder with wire brush attachment to it (RAMS in place and with the correct ppe) and got the rot out, 15 mins worth of fillering later left it to set while sorting the 12v socket on the dash (fag lighter socket to you smokers).

Not only was it loose in the dash, the positive connection was a bit fryed as well, so stripped it down, straightened it all out, cleaned it all up and re-assembled. Now re-fitted and working fine (those cheap leccy heater/fans are pants.... it did all the damage).

By now the filler had dried out and I was able to get the sander going, all smoothed out, bonnet masked up and the front sprayed up with some matt black. Not the worlds smartest job but hey ho, looks far better than it did.



And yes, one day I will sort the midget out!

Nothing on the 2.8

Freelander ABS/HDC/TC warning lights are still on, can't get an MOT till they are fixed and have now run of of idea's. Beginning to wish I had never bothered getting one

I fixed my drivers seat (replaced the bolts on the rear mountings). I also fixed the bonnet. Now I can open it without assistance. Who's a good boy then

Gave the outside a wash (i can see out of te windows now!) and hoovered about 4lbs of dirt out of the inside. Started noting a few jobs for the warmer weather.

I replaced the front interior light on Beasty, with the one out of Chugga. I also put some rear headrests in Beasty. They're black instead of grey so don't technically match, but with the privacy glass on the rear, you can't really tell.

I got myself roped into fitting a gearbox and transfer box to a V8 engine and offering it up to a truck, think its a LR forgot to ask
Oh well a trip to St Helens anyway, I will take pictures
