Replaced the wing mirrors (only minor bodging involved), trial fitted a series A set of nudge bars (didn't fit , but could with a bit of welding ), trial fited my Pepperpots to gauge clearance for new tyres.

me and my other half changed the front brake pads (yes she did do the passenger side by her self, wile i watched over her)
and.....

did a suspention lift.
and found that i need to replace the bushes very soon

well the gf been complaining that the steering is a little bit stiff , had a look and found the aux belt tensioner not working that good , whiped it off got to go and find another one tomorrow , hope it works

Did naff all to my truck as spent most of my time piddling around fitting rear shoes to the Mrs' Focus. What a nightmare job that is

done the oil & filter plus put STP oil treatment in
also changed fuel filter plus rubber pipe from filter with new jubilee clips

Clutch pedal finally adjusted correctly.

Oil leak source discovered, corner of sump gasket, just behind oil filter housing. Anyone know where I can get one for a 2.2 Petrol (EcoTec Engine?) Thanks

I fitted my new cb aerial which I bought from maplins yesterday.

The bracket cost me £1.50 from B&Q. Its a wooden frame corner bracket with holes already drilled out exactly the size I needed, looked like it was made for the job.





But I am having problems with my SWR readings.

Put some Laquer on the new wheels. Takes ages to dry. They aren't perfect and have a few runs. Will attempt to flatten them, but not bothered so long as they are covered.

got the paint stripping gun out on the wheel arches again, think ive got a few more mms of clearance now, couldnt check as the batterys on charge as my mini solar panel charger had a broken wire on the negative clip so for the past 2 months or so its not been charging it.

Today i fitted a aftermarket remote central locking kit to mine........And it works

As he weather is crap as usual think i will get it on the ramps an have a look at the exhaust i keeping saying im going to do,
then have a look at the new wheels clean them up bit rusty on inside and sort alloys,
remove dash and sort the blown or lose bulb,
fit the cb mount on spare wheel carrier.
Get new wiper for rear or i might cut the rubber of an old front one .
Remove light bar and lights tidy up wiring.
Sort out the recovery straps n shackle an offroading gear into my new box for them
Sort some new lights an put old round spots on front i miss them.
wee clean inside remove junk an sweep out dirt

Having photographed as best possible behind the side trim card of my swb "A" to view extent of rust, today I started taking the bubbled paint from exterior of sill - rusty metal come with it so a hole now exists - will have to cut back and hopefully soon find good metal. Thereafter to the menders for a plate to be welded I hope. Once thats done the sill cavities "are getting it" courtesy of Mr Waxoyl.

Light bar is removed cb wire re-routed along door seal tempo until i sort a rear wheel mount.

Fronteras up on a set of car ramps at the moment im just waiting on kettle looking under i can seat exhaust is hard againts the gear box mount explains the rattle n noise havent sussed where the blow sound is coming from i get a back fire when i come of the throttle entertianing as this is im losing power might get mate to put a weld in it for me if it just a wee hole.

It looks odd without the mickey mouse ears light bar.

Today i was productive i got the fronty on ramps


had a look at the exhaust.The exhaust back box is split and bashed on the top explains the sound an rattle.


Next i checked diff an found out it was leaking and the breather was choked .



the fuel tank guard bash plate i fitted last year was dented yet the stuff i stuck it with is still holding it there firmly who needs a welder.I will have to drop the tank guard an remove the tank and straighten it out an i think will get the sheet metal welded on tidy it up a bit.
